Never before have there been so many young people. Never again is there likely to be such potential for economic and social progress. How we meet the needs and aspirations of young people will define our common future.”

Youth Empowerment Projects in Colorado Springs

There are about 48,100 youth ages 5 to 21 in Colorado Springs. These young people represent the community’s future leaders, inventors, and thinkers.

At such a large number, the youth of Colorado Springs are able to make a great impact on the community. To give these youth the best chance at creating a better world for themselves and others, we created The Peterson League.

The Peterson League provides grant funding to youth with great ideas to improve quality of life. By bringing their ideas to life, youth can make a difference while expanding their skills. This model takes youth empowerment to the next level by ensuring youth actively participate in every step of the project.

The Peterson League believes youth are the future of Colorado Springs. They want to make positive social change. Our goal is to support youth projects and help build the leaders of tomorrow.

At The Peterson League we

1. Give life to viable ideas aimed at permanently improving quality of life.

2. Empower youth so they have control over the trajectory of their lives.

3. Create ongoing generations of innovative problem-solvers dedicated to building a better world.

4. Prepare future leaders to solve problems not yet in existence.

Our Mission
The Peterson League: Empowering youth to be agents of positive change through self-directed projects.”
